Browse Safer and Faster with Firefox

If you are still browsing the web using Internet Explorer then you are missing out on some great features that Mozilla Firefox has to offer. Even though Firefox is free, it's estimated that Firefox owns only 15% of the browser market.

You may be asking, what makes Firefox better then Internet Explorer. There are numerous benefits to using Firefox over Internet Explorer, one being its multiplatform compatibility.

  If you are a Mac, Linux, or Windows user there is a version available for you, there is no need to learn how to use different browsers for different operating systems when using Firefox.

• Tabbed Browsing

  No longer will you have to have multiple windows open to view multiple web pages, you can view them all in separate tabs in one window.

• Extensions

  Similar to Widgets on Mac OS X you can download free extensions for Firefox that make your browsing experience more pleasant. One of my favorites is ForecastFox, which displays your local forecast on the right hand corner of the status bar.

Recently Microsoft has released a Beta Version of Internet Explorer 7, which incorporates many of the features that are available in Firefox. Such as tabbed browsing, although tabbed browsing is not only limited to Firefox nor is it new, Firefox by no doubt has made it what it is today. When I tested Internet Explorer 7 Beta, it was very buggy and was not properly displaying the Microsoft.com website. I then fired up Firefox and loaded the Microsoft website and was pleasantly surprised when the site was displayed properly.
