- What is WPA Encryption and why do I need it?
Short for Wi-Fi Protected Access, a security protocol for wireless local area networks (WLANs) developed due to several weaknesses found in WEP. Not only does it protect your personal information but it also keeps unauthorized users from using your internet connection. All information sent and received is encrypted.
- I need help connecting my device to the Internet.
Fear not, we can connect any compatible device to your Wired or Wireless network. Devices such as Cell Phones, Laptops, Gaming Systems, Blu-Ray Players, and others.
- I want to upgrade the computer in my office, can you do that for me?
Yes! NexgenTec not only does residential work but also installs and maintains business networks.
- My Internet does not work, what’s wrong?
The first thing you should do is contact your Internet Service Provider and check to see if there is an outage in your area. If they inform you there are no outages in your area then proceed to call NexgenTec.
- I have Windows XP/Vista and I want to upgrade to Windows 7, can you do it?
Yes, we specialize in computer upgrades and repairs. We can upgrade your computer from Windows XP or Windows Vista to Windows 7 if you so desire.
- When I turn on my computer it goes to a blue screen and restarts repeatedly, what’s wrong?
It’s hard to pinpoint exactly whats wrong with your computer without seeing the error. There is a possibility you have a virus, or your registry could be corrupted. You will need to contact NexgenTec or your computer professional for further assistance.
- My computer won’t turn on, can you fix it?
Yes! We will be able to fix it, go ahead and give us a call to schedule an appointment.
- I don’t have time to drop off my computer, do you make house calls?
Of course we do. There is no extra charge for house calls. Relax, leave the work to us!
- I have a computer Emergency, are you open weekends?
We are here to serve you 7 Days a week from 9 A.M. until 8 P.M. for no extra charge. We are available on call on Holidays and after hours for a nominal fee.
- Payment
- What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, check, or Credit Cards. If you would like to pay using a credit card please make arrangements prior to the service call.
- Do you charge a flat rate?
We bill hourly for on-site services and business customers. Most residential off-site services such as a recovery or hardware repair have a fixed price.
- Do you price match?
Yes! Call us and we will meet or beat any price.
- Do I have to pay before the service call?
No, we do not charge until the service is complete and you are satisfied. If a part is required and must be special ordered then we will require a deposit.
